McDreamy // North County San Diego Senior Pet Portrait

Get ready to swoon, ladies, McDreamy is here to make your heart skip a few beats! McDreamy was 15 at the time of our session. He was adopted from Muttville in San Francisco, who picked him up from a shelter in Sacramento. It was a long journey, but he found his forever home!

 

   

 

Muttville originally put McDreamy in the hospice program but his foster mom knew all he really needed was a family! She advocated for him to be put on the adoptable list and sure enough, his family found him and brought him home.

 

 

McDreamy didn’t have an ounce of camera shy-ness at our session — but that could be because he’s blind and deaf. He has an overachieving sniffer, though, and was ready to gobble up my entire treat stash, pouch and all!

 

 

I really loved how McDreamy was so attuned to his mom. They could walk together without any problems and McDreamy stayed right by her side.

 

 

McDreamy and his mom clearly have a very special bond and it was so much fun to photograph them!

And on a fun, “the world is a small place” note, McDreamy’s mom and I went to the same college in upstate New York at the same time but we never knew each other until she contacted me for a session in San Diego!
