Rancho Penasquitos, CA | Studio Pet Photography | Emma
Some of you may remember Emma, the adorable Border Collie I photographed in the summer of 2012. Well, she’s back… but this time she’s in the studio!
Emma has been through a lot this year — she ruptured the flexor tendon in one of her toes and had to have surgery. Being a young, energetic Border Collie, she just couldn’t want to get back to running around and she re-injured her toe, requiring an additional surgery! The poor girl (and poor parents)! Luckily, she’s feeling better now!
I was so excited to get an email from Emma’s mom about wanting some new photos of Emma and themselves for their Christmas card and around the house. We had an on-location shoot the last time, so they opted for the studio for this session. With Emma’s black & white coloring and her striking golden eyes, we just had to put her on the blue backdrop! I think it was a wise choice. :)
I absolutely adore this little girl. Emma is always so happy and she loves her mom and dad dearly… she never takes her eyes off her mom, who has done an incredible job teaching Emma good manners and lots of fun tricks (sit, wait, down, head down, wave hello!, and wave goodbye!). Plus, Emma gives me kisses… lots and lots and lots of kisses… so she occupies a big place in my heart.
Take a look at this goofball, then be sure to leave a comment below! And now, I give you… Emma!
