Commercial Dog Photography: Gold Paw Series

When I first met the owner of Gold Paw Series two years ago, what struck me the most was how enthusiastic she was about the high-quality products her family-run company makes and what a loyal customer base they have. I’m passionate about what I do and I love working with entrepreneurs who feel similarly about their businesses. I knew we had to work together!

Fast-forward a year and we struck up a conversation again. This time, GoldPaw was ready to enhance their amazing studio photography with some brand lifestyle images to use in their upcoming catalog. Woohoo! The stars had aligned and we began planning two shoots!

First up was an at-home shoot focused on GoldPaw’s new sun tees, leashes, and collars. Jake, a red goldendoodle, was our first model and he seriously rocked it.

The new collars (and harnesses) have a really unique magnetic locking system and I wanted to make sure we showed it off!

Next up was Miley and her family! I worked with Miley and her mom on one of our West Paw shoots and I was so excited to have her back to model a second time. She’s such a good little pup and is wildly photogenic! Her human sister was absolutely adorable and I really loved the photos we captured of them together.

After indoor snuggle time, we headed outside, where Miley was so happy to get to run around and play!

But then Jake asked if he could have some fun, too… so we broke out the bubbles, the hose, and a tennis ball and he had an absolute blast, too!

The second part of our Gold Paw Series photo shoot took place at a local park. First up, Mike (also a former West Paw model) and Rocky came out to show off some of GoldPaw’s signature fleece along with their collars and leashes.

Next, it was Indy’s turn! Indy modeled some of the GoldPaw signature fleece and some super awesome new harnesses.  

As the sun went down and twinkled orange through the trees, Mike and Rocky modeled a few more fleeces, collars, and leashes for us. They’re such mama’s boys and just want to be with her. It’s so cute to watch them all together.

As we wrapped up, Mike laid down and snuggled right into his mama. He looked at me with his golden eyes and said, “OK, I was a good boy. Now I would like the rest of my treats.” And I happily gave them to him because, well, look at that face.

I’m thrilled to have gotten to work with GoldPaw to create these images. I am so happy with how they came out and hope to plan a new shoot for the next catalog!
