Commercial Dog Photography: JustFoodForDogs
If you’re a dog person who goes anywhere dog-related in Southern California, you’ve noticed JustFoodForDogs popping up all around town over the past few years. JFFD specializes in fresh, whole food for dogs made with USDA-certified ingredients. They make super-high-quality meals and treats, which are completely irresistible to our doggie companions! Roxy loves JFFD treats so I was extra excited when they got in touch with me about planning a lifestyle photo shoot!
The goal of our shoot was threefold: capture images of dogs who are excited about eating JFFD meals, show dogs who love JFFD treats, and capture some feel-good lifestyle images of dogs and their people living their best lives. Thankfully, they have awesome food and treats, so all the dogs were super-motivated to chow down! And for the third goal… well, lifestyle photos of dogs and their people are kind of my jam. :)
Our doggie and human models were a mix of JFFD employees, customers, and social media influencers. Everyone was super-happy to be part of a photo shoot for a brand they know and love, so it made the day even more special than it already was!
We rented a beautiful home in Costa Mesa, CA that had beautiful lighting, furnishings, and finishes. It can be tough asking homeowners to welcome five dogs into their space and allow us on the furniture but it’s important to be up-front and honest when renting. Sometimes I’ll find the perfect space but the owner says no dogs allowed — but this homeowner welcomed us with open arms! The photo shoot team vacuumed and cleaned up before we left, too, so we left the home as we found it. I feel it’s important to always be respectful of others’ spaces and belongings!
This was such an incredible day and I’m absolutely honored JustFoodForDogs chose me as their photographer. I had a blast working with them and all the awesome models! I can’t wait to see these photos out in the wild!
